At Pleasant Valley, there’s no place like the library. Meetings are hosted, students study, and others just enjoy the peace and quiet. Katie Sarginson describes the library as “a welcoming, inclusive space for students on campus filled with lots of resources.” The library always has multiple events going on each month, and it’s never too late to begin trying them out. The library staff has worked hard to maintain a safe environment for students and staff, and their work is always heavily appreciated!

On February 13th, students came into the CreativeSpace to decorate sugar cookies, and there were many options on how to style them! There were different kinds of heart-shaped cookies with various flavors of icing that were just waiting to be topped off with sprinkles. Students eagerly formed a line inside the library, waiting for their turn to have a sweet treat of their own. “Everybody’s having fun, so I’m happy,” says Allison Thao, who had been attending the event. There was a continuous flow of people coming in and out of the library throughout lunch to give cookie decorating a try. Overall, the event had been a success, and lots of people enjoyed themselves.
The fabulous cookie decorating event was hosted by none other than the book club here on campus. At the book club, members of the club choose a book to read and discuss each month. When inquired about why she joined the club, Dani Jacobson answers, “Because I want to make more friends, and I like reading.” If students are interested in reading various genres and thrilled to share their opinions on them, the book club is definitely the right place to go.
