Dear Destiny,
What are some Halloween hangout ideas if you don’t want to go trick or treating?
Sincerely,
Seeker of Spooks
Dear Seeker of Spooks,
There are so many different things to do instead of trick or treating, Halloween hangout ideas are limitless unless your creativity tells you otherwise. Many friend groups or people in general all like different things. You might want to talk to your ghoul friends before planning to see what they would like to do! But I have listed some ideas to start off.
A fun hangout idea could be arts and crafts, making paper ghosts, origami pumpkins, maybe even scarecrows out of recyclables found around your house. There are zero creativity limits. But do be scareful if you use hot glue guns, scissors, and any other harmful objects while creating.
Another fun idea is baking. Baking is a craft that can unleash the taste and shapes of creativity by the designer. Making pumpkin spice cupcakes, ghoul shaped cookies, caramel apples, the list is endless. Be careful if you do go down this route, make sure to have a parent or guardian’s permission before starting anything that could potentially burn or injure someone. Safety is the number one priority when it comes to baking. Bone-Appetit!
You could also watch some movies! This could be an alone or group activity. There are truly an assortment of different Halloween movies to watch. But be sure to pick the perfect one like a pumpkin in a pumpkin patch! Black Phone, Coraline, It, and Truth or Dare are very suspenseful movies with some bits of horror in each, some more scary than others. Or maybe a little heart movie is your liking. Movies like Corpse Bride, Casper, ParaNorman, and E.T are all great picks.
Lots of love,
Destiny
