On Sunday, April 14th, the PVHS Center of Performing Arts will be welcoming Joseph Alexander, a 101 year old Holocaust survivor. Alexander will come and share his personal experiences from the Holocaust. He is coming to speak to the community in culmination with the freshman English unit on the novel, Night.
Alexander survived twelve concentration camps by the time he was liberated. Alexander has been sharing his story of survival for over 25 years to the public. His goal is to educate people on the Holocaust and to keep history from repeating itself. Hearing Alexander’s story will be a special opportunity.
The event will take place on Sunday, April 14, 2024 at 6 PM in the CFA (PVHS Campus), with a $10 general admission fee. All tickets will be sold prior to the event (cash only). Tickets can be purchased on the PV campus in M-11 from Amy Besnard. All proceeds from the event will be donated to the Holocaust Museum LA.

This is a great opportunity. I had the change to hear a holocaust survivor speak about their experience about 25 years ago and I remember it as one of the most meaningful learning experiences of my life. Highly encourage folks to attend.
